Owl banding time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The owl banding station here in Homer, Alaska was set up during the last week of August. Same small setup as previous years- four nets total. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We’ve opened nets eight nights starting August 22, and we’ve been rained out six nights so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of Sep 8, we’ve banded 15 hatch-year Northern Saw-whet Owls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
